I believe therapy works best when you feel genuinely understood, not judged, and when you leave with tools you can actually use in your everyday life. As a Licensed Marriage and Family therapist, I work with individuals, adolescents, children, couples and families. My experience includes working with complex emotional behavioral needs, collaborating with schools, psychiatrists, medical providers, and other professionals, and helping clients navigate both personal and systemic challenges.
My approach is warm, practical, and experiential. I draw from the SATIR model to help clients understand patterns, strengthen relationships, and create meaningful change. I incorporate evidence-based approaches including EMDR, CBT, and other experiential techniques tailoring therapy to each person's needs.
What I believe sets my approach apart is the importance I place on connection, authenticity, and empowerment. Therapy isn't simply about talking about what's wrong. It's about understanding yourself, discovering your strengths, learning effective tools, and building a life that feels more balanced and meaningful.
I am also a wife, mother and grandmother, married for 37 years. My weekends are often spent at swim meets with my grandchildren and family. Relationships, resilience, and humor are important parts of who I am. I bring that real life perspective into my work along with a genuine belief that people are capable of growth and change at every stage of life.
